Martin is a native texan and grew up in Houston where he started his musical journey at age 10 with piano before graduating to drums (a real instrument, obviously).

After studying at University of Houston and Berklee College of Music with a double major in music synthesis and music production, he (still me) earned his stripes during six years at Henson Recording Studios, followed by a five-year stint engineering for producer Rich Costey.

These days hE’s Based in la where he works independently as a mix engineer, producer, and recording engineer, collaborating with artists like Death Cab for Cutie, Pearl Jam, At The Drive-In, Biffy Clyro, and Of Monsters and Men—basically, anyone who likes making good music with real instruments and thoughtful production.

When not balancing frequencies or wrangling audio, he can be found on a walk with his wife and two dogs.
